Lee Luda (이루다) is a Korean AI companion chatbot developed by Scatter Lab, a Seoul-based AI company specializing in conversational intelligence and human-like dialogue systems. Luda made history in late 2020 as one of Korea's first AI chatbot characters to achieve viral popularity, attracting over 750,000 users within just three weeks of launch — a milestone that demonstrated both the public appetite for emotionally resonant AI companionship and the challenges that come with deploying such systems at scale.
